Tap water throughout North Hertfordshire and South Cambridgeshire is hard water, reading around 270 Parts Per Million (PPM).
Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (Ca) form these 270 PPM. If we were to use local tap water it would leave streaks on the windows by virtue of the Mg and Ca. At Purity Window Cleaning we purify the water at our premises, removing all Mg and Ca leaving just water in it's most natural form. We can then use this water to clean your windows to a sparkling finish everytime
Q: It's raining. Can you come back another day?
A: Rainwater is naturally purifed (around 20PPM). It's not quite as pure as our water but it's still pure enough to not leave streaks on your windows. What will leave streaks however, is rainwater on dirty windows. We do work in all but heavy rain.

Q: Can you clean in the traditional way? I don't like pole cleaning, it doesn't do a good job.
A: In our experience, pole cleaning is very effective. First and foremost it's safer. It also doesn't involve any detergents, which by nature can attract dirt to windows. We use a high flow rate while cleaning to ensure that all the dirt which could cause streaking is rinsed away from the glass. Also, the brush can get in all the nooks and crannies leaving your windows in top condition every time.

Q: Do you clean the frames?
A: Yes we clean all glass, frames, sills and doors on every visit.
Q: How will I know you are coming?
A: If you need to know when we are planning to visit next, please message us. We will always send a text reminder the evening before as a reminder, but if you've got anything you need to know, please do get in touch. We are friendly and responsive and want to help.

Q: I forgot to unlock the gate, can you come back another day?
A: We will clean the front while we are here and will endeavour to fit you in another day as soon as possible when we can. However, this is subject to availability and we reserve the right to charge the full price.
